No, this is not a post about the movie Karate Kid, it’s about another tool in our wire management segment. The write on cable tie.
These cable ties are an excellent way of identifying cables or communicating messages. The message space cannot be rubbed off. By using a permanent marker, the writing will not rub off either.
A great wiring use is when you are wiring the new home with different types of cables, you can put a write on cable tie identifying which wire goes to which component such as built in speakers or for distinguishing between the internet or IP telephone line. Or if an inline valve should not be touched, you can write a message on regarding that and attach it to the handle.
These cable ties have a large amount of uses around the house too. You can use them for a garage sale and write what the item is and the price you would like to get for the item, you can use them to tie and identify garden hoses, different light strands, even a fun way to identify gift bags at a kid’s birthday party.
Another use is if you have multiple kids. Kids fight over their stuff all the time. By using a cable tie on the item instead of writing their name on it, they will know which item is theirs. That way, when the time comes to sell or donate the item, all you have to do is cut off the tag and there will not be any writing on it.
If you are a consultant for a company such as Avon, Stampin’ Up! Tupperware, etc., if you have multiple bags you bring to a show with you, you can attach the ties identify your travel bags. That way, if you want to bring a specific bag or bags, instead of the whole group, you can easily identify it and you do not have to worry about grabbing the wrong bag.
There are many identification uses for the write-on cable ties.
Happy wiring,
Amy
