The operating temperature is high, about 500°F (260°C). You need to bundle a bunch of cables to finish off the installation, the problem is that you don’t know what cable ties to use because… well, … you threw out the packaging. Don’t worry, we can help you out.
Peek High Temp Cable Ties
Here at Nelco Products, although we carry a lot of different cable ties, many of the ties we carry cannot handle the heat. The PEEK High Temperature Cable Tie on the other hand, can handle temperatures up to 500°F (260°C) which is perfect for what you need to finish off the installation. The ties are available in 100 piece packages and in lengths of 4, 5, and 7 inches. The minimum tensile strength of these PEEK ties is 35 lbs.
PEEK stands for Polyether ether ketone which is a semicrystalline thermoplastic. The PEEK gives the cable ties excellent chemical and mechanical resistances and it is resistance to high temperatures.
Department of Defense Project
Another good thing about these cable ties, is that if you are working on a Department of Defense project, these ties are approved by them. They also meet military spec MIL-P-46183.
Wall mounting is easy with the PEEK Cable Tie Mounts. This product has the same heat resistances as the PEEK Cable Tie.
In contrast, if you are working in a temperature of 185°F or less, our Black Heat Stabilized cable ties are a perfect tool for the job. These particular heat stabilized ties have a tensile strength of 50 lbs.
Black Heat Stabilized
Taking it to the extreme, if you are working in a really high temperature area, we recommend using a Stainless Steel Cable Ties. These self-locking ties have an operating range of -80°C to 538°C (-112°F to 1000°F) and a tensile strength of 100 lbs.
