Have you ever been stricken with panic over busting your golf shoe lace whilst in the middle of the biggest most important round of your life? And, what if the round of golf is with the single super most important client that your company has ever entertained?
Now, your client is maniacally adamant that both you and he need to bomb 300+ yard drives straight down the middle to win the days wager and drink in the sweet victory on the earned round of drinks to be paid for by your opponents.
Of course you haven’t, but keep reading and I’ll tell you the simple steps to take to ensure you keep panic at bay.

It happened on the 18th hole, just as I was about to swing my shoe laces broke. Before I lost my shoe and had to run back to the clubhouse, which would have zapped the excitement from the adventure, I calmly reached into my golf bag and pulled the most non-related to golf item you can think of and I knelt down, slid it through the top 2 lace holes on my golf shoe, locked it into itself and ZIPPPPPPED IT UP!
A 5” Nylon Cable Tie saved my day! Even though, I came about 100 yards short and 3 fairways to the left from bombing my drive down the middle… that is not the point.
I used that cable tie to squash any need to make a scene or lose focus and I ultimately earned the client.
Even though we didn’t get that first round at the losers expense, we all WON, and having that cable tie ready to go, perhaps, not only kept my shoe from slipping away, but the client as well!
These come in all sorts of lengths, sizes and colors, the 5” 40LB natural color worked best for me, you can find your own life savers at Nelco Products.
Please make sure you have some in your golf bag before the starter calls to you to the tee box!
