This year, we at Nelco Products are celebrating our 28th Anniversary. Twenty eight years ago when we started, we had a small office, a small warehouse and a small staff. You either picked up your orders at our office or you placed an order out of our print catalog. The World Wide Web did not exist. Today, we have three warehouses, a bigger staff and our sales staff has over 289 combined years in the electrical business. You can also now place an order over the web, by calling us at 800-505-6352, by faxing us, or by emailing us and have it shipped to you quicker than ever before. When an anniversary such as this happens, some people like to look back at the events that occurred in that first year. Here are some of the events that took place in 1984:

• The Summer Olympics are held in Los Angeles, United States
• AT&T is broken up
• The first Apple Macintosh goes on sale
• Sony and Philips introduce the first commercial CD Players
• Sony makes the first 3 1/2″ computer disk
• The Space Shuttle Discovery has its maiden voyage
• First Ever flight in Space by Human untethered using jet back Packs
• Genetic fingerprinting or DNA profiling was developed
• The top 5 movies of the year were:
